This probably doesn’t come as much of a surprise, but I like to draw. I like drawing so much that I’d like to draw for you! Commissions are currently open. Below you will find information and base pricing for typical “comic style” artwork. I also do portrait style work. You can find info and pricing for those here.

These are private use commissions of popular characters (comics, fantasy, sci fi, etc.). If you are looking for someone for a commercial illustration opportunity (comic book/graphic novel art, design work, etc.), please feel free to email me at and we can discuss.

Payment: I accept electronic payments through PayPal and Venmo. I will also accept physical money orders and personal checks. Please note: I will have to wait about a week or so for a personal check to clear before I send the artwork. For fan art style pieces (drawings of existing characters), I will not need payment until it is finished. For any work that includes the likeness of an actual person (more info towards the bottom of this page) I will need half of the total amount up front prior to beginning work. I could probably find a buyer for an “orphaned” drawing of Spider-man, but a drawing of your great uncle heroically guiding a tauntaun across the frozen plains of Hoth, well, that’s a tougher sell.

Shipping: All US based shipments carry a minimum charge of $10. The price could be a bit higher due to location, but I will do my best to communicate any additional charges. Other services such as proof of delivery and insurance are available for additional fees. I will ship internationally as well. We can discuss cost estimates prior to work commencing. All artwork will be shipped very securely and, short of major bungling by the shipping company, will arrive in pristine condition.

Pencil art: I do this the old-fashioned way: graphite on paper. Standard sizes include 8 ½” x 11”, 9” x 12”, and 11” x 17”. If you are in need of something outside of those dimensions, please let me know; however, there may be an additional charge required. All penciled art will be drawn on sturdy paper such as cardstock (8 ½” x 11”) or bristol board (larger sizes).

Inked art: When it comes to inking, I’m better digitally than I am traditionally. And faster to boot. All inking commissions will be completed by my hand, but the actual piece of art you receive will be a print-out of the electronic file. If you really, REALLY want to have your piece inked traditionally (i.e., brush on paper), I could be talked into it, but I feel the quality would be a bit lower. The digitally inked art will be printed on high quality, sturdy paper.

Colored art: Coloring your piece is an option as well, but please keep in mind that I won’t be the one doing it. That’s something that isn’t in my toolset at this time; however, I do know several digital comic style colorists and I would be happy to hire someone to add color to a piece you’ve commissioned. Pricing on this is going to vary based on the colorist and situation, but this is something we could speak about prior to work beginning.

This is original artwork featuring existing fictional characters. Think Batman looking over Gotham City, Harry Potter soaring through the air on his Quidditch broomstick, Rick Sanchez blackout drunk in his lab, etc. It could be a single character without a background, multiple characters with a detailed background, or anything in-between. Let me know what you are looking for and I will get a quote figured out. Here are some baseline prices and examples:

1 character, no background

8 ½” x 11” pencil: $40
8 ½” x 11” digital ink: $50
9” x 12” pencil: $50
9” x 12” digital ink: $60
11” x 17” pencil: $75
11” x 17” digital ink: $90

1 character with background 8 ½” x 11” pencil: $55
8 ½” x 11” digital ink: $65
9” x 12” pencil: $70
9” x 12” digital ink: $80
11” x 17” pencil: $120
11” x 17” digital ink: $135

These are very similar to fan art commissions, but feature the likeness of a real person (or persons). Whether that is yourself, your child or other loved one, or even if you want to have Henry Cavill wearing the Superman costume from 1978’s movie, it’s cool! Please use the above pricing for fan art as a basis but consider an additional $15 per likeness. I will email you a file of the piece for review prior to sending so you can make sure it looks like the person it is intended to be. Please note: the more photos I have access to (social media photo galleries are great), the easier it will be to get the appearance correct. Here are a few examples:
