Description
As a kid growing up in the 80s, I was a big fan of the slasher genre of films. The “Friday the 13th” series was always my favorite. That kind of seems strange to me now. Jason didn’t speak and generally just lumbered towards his victims. He certainly had more in common with Michael Myers than the charismatic Freddy Krueger. But I loved the mask. I drew it a lot. I knew the arrangement of the holes as well as the areas of damage it had taken over the course of the movies it appeared in. It was fun drawing it again.
White charcoal on 6″ x 8″ black mixed media paper.
