Description

This piece was created for an unrealized graphic novel. The publisher requested a number of symbolic items to be included in this image. Some of it was more minute details on the ship itself, but I didn’t feel I would be able to clearly show that this is the Filipino presidential yacht without pulling the “camera” back. The initial notes asked for a creature like Godzilla to be shown; however, when I sent my first thumbnail images to the publisher, they told me to go ahead and just make it Godzilla outright.

This is graphite on bristol board. The full image is 11″ x 21″. Please note: using the standard way of creating double page spreads for comic books, this piece uses to separate sheets of bristol board. During the drawing process the two sheets were taped together on the backside. They will be shipped as two separate pieces.
